The Joint Executive Committee Meeting of Asia Europe Business School (AEBS) was successfully held on March 8th. The attendees included Tugrul Atamer, Vice Dean of emlyon business school, Philippe Monin, Chief Transformation Officer Strategy and Organization at emlyon business school, William Hua Wang, Dean of emlyon business school Asia and French Dean of AEBS, Wang Rongming, Vice President of ECNU, Zhou Yunxuan, Director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of ECNU, and He Jiaxun, Deputy Director of Faculty of Economics & Management and Chinese Dean of AEBS. Wang Rongming presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, Wang Rongming appreciated the efforts made by the Chinese and French management team of AEBS, and clearly stated that while developing AEBS, both sides shall adhere to the original purpose of cooperation, and continue the pioneering spirit to enhance the existing AEBS programs, making them bigger and stronger. He also outlined how they will continuously enrich the talent training program within the School to meet the needs of society in a better manner, based on innovation and entrepreneurship. With regard to the French side, Tugrul Atamer expressed that they would, as always, closely cooperate with the ECNU team. He hoped that through constant reflection and improvement of the existing management and programs, they would be able to further promote the entire level of AEBS and steadily stride forward, positioning it as a high-end competitive business school.
In this meeting, both sides focused on the difficulties and urgent problems that needed to be tackled during the development of AEBS, exchanged opinions and reached a consensus on optimizing the organization structure and operating model of the School. They also discussed integration and reconstruction of the Chinese and French management teams, several modular expansion plans for existing programs, new program development at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level, international exchange and studies of current students.
